Joey Farnsworth

Joey Farnsworth has her master’s degree in social work from Walden University. She graduated from Utah Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. For the past 7 years, Joey has worked with a variety of patients in crisis situations. This has been in the ER, Dove Center, DCFS, and for the MCOT crisis team, doing responses with police. In addition, she has worked with individuals who struggle with Suicidal ideation, Borderline Personality Disorder, addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression. In these previous roles, she facilitated group therapies, performed assessments, and engaged in case management. Joey enjoys working with individuals age 6 and older and working with individuals and families.

Joey understands that therapy is hard and will work with individuals at their own pace to reach their own goals. Using a person centered approach, Joey works with the individual as a guide toward their goals. Joey believes the client's desire to change and trust within the therapist are the necessities to facilitate change. Joey enjoys hiking, climbing (anything I can find), paddle boarding, and generally being outside.
